HENRY: Brian Landis Folkins is a veteran character actor with over 25 years in the industry. Roles include his critically acclaimed lead in RENT-A-PAL and ABC's BIG SKY. A prolific stage actor as well, Mr. Folkins won Best Actor awards in both 2019 and 2024, and has appeared in over 100 short and feature films as well as video game performance capture. Folkins has been an Artistic Company Member at Curious Theatre Company since 2012.
SHANICE: Sheryl McCallum, a Curious Theatre Company Member, has performed on Broadway in Disney’s The Lion King and has also been seen in many Curious Theater performances. Other roles include Melpomene in Xanadu at the Garner Galleria; Aunt Eller in Oklahoma! (DCPA Theatre Company). Sheryl also toured Europe as a featured singer in Blackbirds of Broadway.
CHARLIE: Conrad Mata is a Denver-based stage and screen actor. Notable work includes the regional premiere of Tony Meneses’ The Hombres. A 2024 Denver Gazette True West Award winner, UCK marks Mata’s first feature film and collaboration with director, Ty Bradford.
PACO: Sam Gilstrap is a Colorado-based performance artist with 20 years of experience. He worked closely with David Byrne as an original cast member of Theater of the Mind and has starred in recent film festival selections Newt and No Sun on Salvation.
JUNIOR: Calvin Barnes: Calvin Barnes is a stage and screen actor based in Denver. He attends Denver School of the Arts where he has acted in numerous plays and short films. UCK is Barnes’ first film role.
TINA: Hannah Duggan is a stage and screen actor based in Denver. Duggan is a founding member of Buntport Theater which has been creating original work for the past 25 years. Latest screen work includes Warner Brothers “Reframed: Next Generation Narratives” and “Man Camp”. “UCK” marks Duggan’s first collaboration with director, Ty Bradford.
DON: Josh Hartwell is an award-winning and internationally produced playwright (and life-long horror fanatic) in Denver. As an actor, he can be seen in The Man Who Changed the World, Phantom Limb, After the Darklights, Fall River, and Raising the Stakes.
MIKE: Ryan Wilkes is a puppeteer and creature performer and the grand prize winner of Jim Henson’s Dark Crystal fan film competition. His work as principal puppeteer for Onyx the Fortuitous and the Talisman of Souls premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Ryan has performed with the Weirdos puppet band alongside Coldplay.
COWBOY: Daevon Robinson is a Denver-based actor whose work spans stage and film. He has appeared with numerous Colorado theatre companies and in independent films and continues to work throughout the Front Range, balancing regional theater with film and festival projects.
